What I did in order to reengineer my resume was ask ChatGPT to put a special emphasis on the skills I’d already listed but in a marketing sense. Due to a prior job I’d applied for I used a lot of my computer focused skills as I was hoping to apply for an AI trainer position. My goal was to essentially resuse those skills but to adjust them into having a marketing focused tone. Ultimately I made sure to distill all the information down a couple times and work it into the marketing niche I was targeting. What changed during this process was several things the first of which how my knowledge of AI systems changed from a general usage to being oriented towards marketing tech literacy. The other major change was in the presentation of my prior work experience going from a plain explanation of dishwasher or pool attendant to being more customer experience and conflict resolution oriented. I think the biggest thing I learned about AI prompt engineering is that you need to be very specific and often prompt your AI multiple times in order to get something of both a content and quality that actually works for your intended use.
